PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Indianapolis rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson displayed flashes of promise but also showed that there’s much work to do, helping the Colts beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-13 on Thursday night in the preseason finale for each team. Named the starter after the preseason opener at Buffalo, Richardson completed 6 of 17 passes for 78 yards and ran five times for 38 yards in the first half. The 6-foot-4 passer was the No. 4 overall pick out of Florida. New Colts coach Shane Steichen helped Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts transform from a second-round pick with questions into one of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks during the last two seasons as the Eagles’ offensive coordinator. He will try to do the same with Richardson in in Indianapolis. On the fourth drive for the Colts (2-1), Richardson showed flashes of greatness, hitting Kylen Granson in traffic for 17 yards and twice avoiding sacks. He also was off target on several throws, most of which sailed high, in the o...

Baldermann argued some of the actions that followed the revelation of the seclusion room violated Dennis' right to due process."Board members conducted their own investigations related to this personnel matter, which also likely violated board policy," Baldermann said.Other members of the board, particularly Auon'tai Anderson and Michelle Quattlebaum, opposed Baldermann's take on the issue."Am I subverting someone's due process by saying publicly we have to start believing our children? Zito: From Afghanistan to Maui, Biden’s empathy is AWOL

Published Thu, 20 Feb 2025 19:51:23 GMT

Last week, after spending several hours on Rehoboth Beach in Delaware, President Joe Biden was asked by a member of the press pool about the rising death toll in Hawaii.Bloomberg reporter Justin Sink tweeted Biden’s “no comment” response as the president left for his home in Delaware. With over 100 people dead and 10 times that number still unaccounted for, how hard would it have been for Biden to say something evoking the empathy the people of Hawaii need, the country needs, in those brief moments as he walked in the sand from his day at the beach? But he didn’t. And we’ve seen this craven indifference before.Almost to the day two years ago, a chaotic two-week evacuation of 125,000 people from Kabul resulted in the horrific deaths of 13 American service members; it took Biden over a week for him to address the deaths to the public, and when he did in a speech to the nation, he spent the entire 23 minutes forcefully rejecting any criticism of his decision...

Phommachanh gravitated towards two Power-5 college programs with lofty ambitions only to became a depth chart casualty at both places.Phommachanh had unproductive stints in the ACC at Georgia Tech and Clemson before choosing UMass to make a fresh start with a realistic opportunity of seeing the playing field.Phommachanh’s perseverance was rewarded on Monday when Brown named him the Minutemen’s starter in the season opener on Saturday night (7) at New Mexico State. UMass lost to NMS 23-13 last season.“We are going with Taisun,” said Brown. “It was not a scenario where one guy didn’t win the job and the other guy did. It was really just that his play was exemplary and I’m comfortable and happy with the other guys a...
