Participating restaurants announced for Troy Pig Out TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The 16th annual Troy Pig Out is returning to downtown Troy. The event is set for Sunday, July 16 starting at noon. Attendees can try samples from each eatery for $4 and vote on whose is the best. The public votes for the People’s Favorite BBQ and three local judges will decide who has the best barbecue in Troy.“This year the format of Pig Out is completely elevated. LOUIS - Starting Tuesday afternoon, it began to look more and more likely that Wednesday morning storms would stay just north of the St. Louis region, impacting northern Missouri and west-central Illinois. That means we are in store for a hot, more humid day with temperature highs in the mid 90s.  The cold front dropping south will bring strong to severe storms to the St. Louis region starting late Wednesday afternoon and continuing through the evening. Storms could produce large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain. St. Louis radar: See a map of current weather here Prime time is 5:00 p.m. to midnight, but some rain and storms could linger into the early hours of Thursday. We may get a break in the storm threat Thursday, as it will be partly cloudy and temp highs near 90. Mother shot while holding baby; St. Louis County man charged ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A St. Louis County man is accused of shooting a mother while she held her baby earlier this month. Prosecutors have charged Deondre Powell, 29, with one count of armed criminal action, domestic assault and endangering the welfare of a child. 3 killed, several injured in Greyhound bus crash According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, a witness told police that Powell pull out a firearm and shot the mother of his child in the face. This reportedly happened on July 1 in a north St. Louis County hotel complex on Hanley Road. The mother was holding a child, who was less than one month old, in her hands when Powell allegedly shot her.Investigators did not disclose a potential motive in relation to the shooting. Gyroplane crashes Tuesday in Washington County with two on board WASHINGTON COUNTY, Mo. - An investigation is underway after a gyroplane crashed late Tuesday evening in Washington County with two people on board. A FAA spokesperson tells FOX 2 that a Magni M24 Orion gyroplane crashed in a field, just southeast of Washington County Airport in Potosi. It happened around 7 p.m. 3 killed, several injured in Greyhound bus crash Investigators say two people were on board during the crash, though do not have an update on their conditions as of Wednesday morning. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash. Additional details are limited, but FOX 2 will update as more information becomes available.

Foodservice firm pays $16M for former Thornton Kmart A former Kmart building in Thornton has a new owner.An entity associated with Michigan-based Gordon Food Service purchased the 192,532-square-foot building on 23 acres at 1400 E. 104th Ave. this month for $16.5 million, according to public records. Gordon Food Service, a 125-year-old firm, is a restaurant distributor that also operates grocerylike stores open to the public. The company has 25 distribution centers and 175 stores, according to its website.None are in Colorado. But Gordon has been in expansion mode this year, opening six new Texas stores and acquiring Canada-based Macgregors Meat & Seafood, according to press releases.
